Timeless Tuesday Challenge #197

Hi everyone hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!  Our family had a wonderful day with the entire family.  We celebrated our oldest grandchild's 10th birthday on Sat. with ice cream and go cart rides just a fun day!
On to today's Timeless Tuesday Challenge at Flourishes, today's challenge is to use gold or silver on your project.  I thought Christmas for this challenge as nothing goes better with gold or silver than Christmas!  I used the Stampin Up ornament punch and a circle punch to create the ornament.  I punched a small snowflake on the silver circle.  The flourishes was from the Stampin Up Baroque Motif stamp set, the sentiment was from Flourishes Trimmed With Love stamp set.  I used red glitter cardstock to create the border at the top and finished it off with some white and silver ribbon.  This is such a easy and simple card yet just beautiful!   I saw a sample of this card on Pinterest, sorry I cannot find the posted so unable to give credit for the inspiration for my card.

Timeless Tuesday #192

Good morning everyone, I'm a little late getting my challenge card done!  The Timeless Tuesday challenge at Flourishes is to create a birthday card.  This works out great for me as I need a birthday card for a very dear friend in a couple of weeks.  I choose to use the Summer Blossoms stamp set from Flourishes along with the sentiment from the Botanical Bookplate stamp set.  I decided to use the reverse spotlight technique on my stamp.  I stamped the Summer Blossoms twice and colored the one with Prisma Watercolors and blended with mineral spirits.  The second stamp I punched a 1" circle  from the stamped image and punched a 1 1/4" circle for the backing.  This makes such a pretty effect.  I used Stampin Up Diamond Dazzle Glitter on the punched stamp.  A little ribbon, pearls  and rhinestones to finish off the look!  Enjoy the rest of the week and Keep Stamping!!

Timeless Tuesday Challenge #190

Good Tuesday everyone!!!  I look forward to Tuesday to see what Flourishes's design team have up their sleeve!  This week is Sneek Peek Week as well as Timeless Tuesday Challenge.  The new stamps set are so cute.  This week's challenge is to create using a yummy treat as the focal point.  I search through my stamp sets and found I do not have anything that has a  yummy treat imagine that!!  My daughter however had a set from Flourishes that has been retired Birthday Celebrations.  It is a cute little set perfect for a child birthday.  I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, and colored with Prisma watercolor pencils.  Used Spellbinder's Lacey Square die cut and cut out the stamped image.  I stamped again the balloons only and cut out added glitter to them and popped them up with pop dots.  The sentiment is also from the same stamp set.  This will be a perfect card for my little grandson that turns 10 in November!!  Looking forward to the rest of the week's Sneek Peek and all the fun stamps coming out.  Have a great rest of the week and remember Keep Stamping :)

Christmas Lodge Side Step Card

I have been playing around with the side step cards and they have quickly become one of my favorite type of cards!  I recently saw a card on SCS Gallery using Stampin Up's Christmas Lodge Stamps.  I happen to have them on my MDS2 so I wanted to give it a try.  I not sure of the person's name who made the card on SCS, as when I went back I could not find the post so unable to give you credit for the idea.  I gave it a try and here is what I came up with, it is really pretty and sparkly!  All of the stamps were done digital with MDS2 I just love digital scrapbooking and cards.  This software is just so much fun!!

Wild & Wonderful Challenge

The second challenge of the day at Flourishes was Wild & Wonderful Challenge.  It was to create a card that was a little on the rustic side.  I did not have any rustic type stamp so I decided to try and create a rustic looking card with the Flourishes Vintage Postcard stamp set.  Using off white cardstock I stamped in black ink, did some coloring with copic markers.  After coloring I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist's Walnut Gold and lightly misted my cardstock, while damp I crinkled the paper to create a old rustic look and tore the edges.  Let that dry and came back and misted with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist's Pearl.  After about 10 minutes for drying I inked the edges with brown ink .  All in all I think it turned out pretty rustic looking.

Dear Santa - Noon Time Challenge

Hope you have all seen the new Christmas releases at Flourishes, they are just beautiful!!!  The Flourishes Dear Santa Noon Time Challenge was to create a card that was fun for kids and kids at heart.  This was such a fun challenge as I have 4 grandchildren and just love making cards for them.  I chose to use a retired stamp from Stampin Up for the Santa and decided to create a snow globe.  I used the Christmas Classic stamp set from Flourishes for the sentiment.  Using prima pencil to color the Santa, and the cuttlebug snowflake folder to emboss.  Hope you all are having a good week.  The weather here in Southeast Texas has been really nice for this time of year, so I am enjoying being outside after such a long hot summer :).  Enjoy the rest of the week and Keep Stamping!!
