Lovely You

Good morning all, hope your day is off to a great start!!  I would like to share a card with you using the new Botanical Orchid Flower stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle, Nuvo Mousse and a 3d embossing folder.  Come along as I show you how to create this card!

To create the background I embossed a piece of white cardstock with the Crafter's Companion 3d Embossing Folder.  Using my finger tool I added Lemon Sorbet and Aquamarine Nuvo Mousse to all the raised areas.  This really created a beautiful shimmery background.  Small drops of Sea Breeze Jewel Drops were added to some of the embossed areas.  The background was layered onto the card base and a small line of glue was added to the edges using the Small Glue Pen.  To the glue Mermaid glitter was added to give the card edges a little sparkle.

The beautiful Orchid was stamped using StazOn ink and colored using the Aqua Markers from Nuvo.  Sparkle was added to the flower using the small glue pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.  The sentiment was stamped and glittered using the small glue pen and Mermaid glitter.

Small drops of Sea Breeze Jewel Drops were added to the top and bottom corners.  Strips of 1/2" Tear-ific Tape was placed around the edges of a piece of white cardstock and glittered using Mermaid glitter.  The flower panel was then adhered to the glittered cardstock panel and placed on top of the card base using foam dots.

The card base was made using the Happy Holiday Header Die from Tonic Studios.  I just love these dies they give your project a little something extra.  To jazz up my card I placed a piece of white cardstock behind the holiday openings and glittered using the Small Glue Pen , Fire Engine Red, Sparkling Snow, Mermaid and The Beach glitter.  To the word happy Sassy Silver was added to the letters using the small glue pen.

The sweet couple was printed using the color digi stamp and cut using the Silhouette.  Sparkle was added to them using the small glue pen, Fire Engine Red, Sparkling Snow glitter.  Small drops of Ebony Black Crystal Drops were added to the buttons.  Shaved Ice was placed along the bottom of the couple using the Deluxe Adhesive from Nuvo.

The glittery background was created using the small glue pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.  Small drops of Sea Breeze Jewel Drops were also added to the background.

Hope your have started the blog hop by now, there are some great projects on each of the ladies blog!!  For my project I used the cute Snowman Couple, new dies from Sheena Douglas and of course GLITTER!!  Let me show you how to make this sweet card prefect for Christmas!

The cute little snowman couple were stamped using the Tim Holtz Stamping Platform with StazOn ink and color using the Aqua Markers from Tonic.  Once dry sparkle was added to the couple using the Nuvo Small Glue Pen, Spirited Green, Fire Engine Red, Sparkling Snow glitter.  Small drops Ebony Black Crystal Drops were added to the buttons.

Now it was on to making my winter scene for this cute couple.  Using the new die from Sheena Douglas the tree frame was die cut from white cardstock and shimmer added using a small sponge dauber and Mother of Pearl Nuvo Mousse.  The shimmer on the tree branches is so pretty!!  A little sparkle was added to the raised embossed markings on the branches using the small glue pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.  Along the bottom of the frame Sparkling Snow glitter was added using the Medium Nuvo Glue Pen. The couple was then glued inside the bottom of the frame using the Deluxe Adhesive from Nuvo.

The sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and fussy cut around.  The edges were inked with distress ink and a little sparkle was added to the music notes using the small glue pen and Black Suede glitter.

The trees were die cut using the dies from Sheena Douglass.  They were inked with Safari Green Hybrid Ink from Nuvo.  Using the small glue pen a little Sparkling Snow glitter was added to the trees branches.  This really gave the trees a bit of twinkle!  The trees were adhered to the card base and the frame was placed on top of the trees to create a cute winter scene for this cute couple.

I hope you have enjoyed my project, I had a lot of fun making it!!

Nature's Elegance

Good morning all, this morning I would like to share a card I made using a lot of embossing powders and the new Lovely as Leaf stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  Let me show you have this came together.

So if you are thinking wait that is not the colors of the embossing powders listed you are right!  I did make serveral different backgrounds using this technique, the colors may be different but the technique is the same.

Rub the back of the stencil with Coconut Soap and place it on top of the sticky side of the sticker paper.  The soap will help the stencil come off of the paper more easily.  Next I sprinkled the Raspberry Tart embossing powder turned upside down and removed the excess.  Next Tangy Tangerine was added turned upside down to remove excess.  Lastly the Daffodil was added and excess removed.  The stencil was then removed from the sticker paper.

The remaining sticky areas were covered using Magic Speckle embossing powder.  The excess was removed and the entire piece was heat set.

Here you can see how pretty the embossing powders blended together to create a beautiful look.

A small butterfly was punched using a Stampin Up Butterfly punch, glittered using the Small Nuvo Glue Pen and Daffodil glitter.

The sentiment was stamped using the Lovely as a Leaf stamp set.  The panel was then layered onto the card base and a ribbon was added.

I really love how pretty these embossing powders blended together.  If you haven't used embossing powders with your stencil you must give it a try.  This background can be made with any color of embossing powders you like!
