Flowers and Friendships

Good morning all, I would like to share my final project from the November Reveal!  For this card I only used the sentiment from the Botanical Orchid Flower stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle. Come along while I show you how this came together.

The first thing I did was ink up my craft mat with Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Peacock Feathers Distress inks.  The ink was then lightly misted with water. While the ink was still wet I placed a piece of watercolor paper on top of the misted inks smooshed the paper into the ink.  The paper was picked up and this lovely mix of colors created a beautiful background for my card.

Once the background piece was dry, a little stamping was done using the Journal Mixed Media stamp set with Peacock Feathers ink.

This beautiful hydrangea flowers was die cut using the Spellbinder's die.  Sparkle was added to the leaves using the glue pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.   The sweet little butterfly was die cut using a Stampin Up butterfly die, it was inked usig the distress ink.

A oval was die cut using the Oval Dies from Spellbinders.  The edges were inked with the Picked Raspberry ink.  The sentiment was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink .

Lovely You

Good morning all, hope your day is off to a great start!!  I would like to share a card with you using the new Botanical Orchid Flower stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle, Nuvo Mousse and a 3d embossing folder.  Come along as I show you how to create this card!

To create the background I embossed a piece of white cardstock with the Crafter's Companion 3d Embossing Folder.  Using my finger tool I added Lemon Sorbet and Aquamarine Nuvo Mousse to all the raised areas.  This really created a beautiful shimmery background.  Small drops of Sea Breeze Jewel Drops were added to some of the embossed areas.  The background was layered onto the card base and a small line of glue was added to the edges using the Small Glue Pen.  To the glue Mermaid glitter was added to give the card edges a little sparkle.

The beautiful Orchid was stamped using StazOn ink and colored using the Aqua Markers from Nuvo.  Sparkle was added to the flower using the small glue pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.  The sentiment was stamped and glittered using the small glue pen and Mermaid glitter.

Small drops of Sea Breeze Jewel Drops were added to the top and bottom corners.  Strips of 1/2" Tear-ific Tape was placed around the edges of a piece of white cardstock and glittered using Mermaid glitter.  The flower panel was then adhered to the glittered cardstock panel and placed on top of the card base using foam dots.

Now it was on to making my winter scene for this cute couple.  Using the new die from Sheena Douglas the tree frame was die cut from white cardstock and shimmer added using a small sponge dauber and Mother of Pearl Nuvo Mousse.  The shimmer on the tree branches is so pretty!!  A little sparkle was added to the raised embossed markings on the branches using the small glue pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.  Along the bottom of the frame Sparkling Snow glitter was added using the Medium Nuvo Glue Pen. The couple was then glued inside the bottom of the frame using the Deluxe Adhesive from Nuvo.

The sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and fussy cut around.  The edges were inked with distress ink and a little sparkle was added to the music notes using the small glue pen and Black Suede glitter.

The trees were die cut using the dies from Sheena Douglass.  They were inked with Safari Green Hybrid Ink from Nuvo.  Using the small glue pen a little Sparkling Snow glitter was added to the trees branches.  This really gave the trees a bit of twinkle!  The trees were adhered to the card base and the frame was placed on top of the trees to create a cute winter scene for this cute couple.

Nature's Elegance

Good morning all, this morning I would like to share a card I made using a lot of embossing powders and the new Lovely as Leaf stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  Let me show you have this came together.

So if you are thinking wait that is not the colors of the embossing powders listed you are right!  I did make serveral different backgrounds using this technique, the colors may be different but the technique is the same.

Rub the back of the stencil with Coconut Soap and place it on top of the sticky side of the sticker paper.  The soap will help the stencil come off of the paper more easily.  Next I sprinkled the Raspberry Tart embossing powder turned upside down and removed the excess.  Next Tangy Tangerine was added turned upside down to remove excess.  Lastly the Daffodil was added and excess removed.  The stencil was then removed from the sticker paper.

The remaining sticky areas were covered using Magic Speckle embossing powder.  The excess was removed and the entire piece was heat set.

Here you can see how pretty the embossing powders blended together to create a beautiful look.

A small butterfly was punched using a Stampin Up Butterfly punch, glittered using the Small Nuvo Glue Pen and Daffodil glitter.

The sentiment was stamped using the Lovely as a Leaf stamp set.  The panel was then layered onto the card base and a ribbon was added.

I really love how pretty these embossing powders blended together.  If you haven't used embossing powders with your stencil you must give it a try.  This background can be made with any color of embossing powders you like!

Thanks so much for stopping by have a great day and remember......Keep Stamping!!

Navy Nurses

Happy Halloween all, this morning  I would like to share a pretty card with you using the digi Navy Nurse stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  This stamp only comes as a digi stamp and can be used for so many different occasions.  Let me show you how it came together.

To start the card I embossed a piece of blue cardstock using a Sizzix embossing folder.  Nuvo Mother of Pearl Mousse was applied to the raised areas using my finger.  This really created a beautiful shimmer to my cardstock.

Next the image was re sized,  printed using the color stamp and cut out using the Silhouette.  Sparkle was added using the Quicky Glue Pen and Sequin Gold.  A small scalloped circle was punched using a circle punch from Fisker.  The image was placed on top of the scalloped circle using foam dots.

To finish off the card I placed a piece of white cardstock diagonally across the card and cut off excess cardstock.  Next 1/4" and 1/8" Tear-ific Tape was placed diagonally on top of the white cardstock.  The protective backing was removed from the 1/4" tape and glittered using Sequin Gold glitter.  The remaining 1/8" tape was glittered using Cobalt Glaze glitter.

Being a military mom I was so glad to see a military stamp in this month's reveal!  I hope you will hop on over and see all the beautiful digi stamp sets, they are so much fun to play with and can be sized to fit any project.

Best Fishes

Good morning all today I would like to  share a cute masculine card with you using the new Gus Fish Whisper digi stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle and a technique to create your own camouflage paper.  Let's get started!

To get started the camouflage paper was created using this tutorial, vanilla cardstock, Mowed Lawn Distress, Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and Memento Espresso Truffle ink.  This is a really fun technique and could be created with colors to match your project.  Once the camouflage panel was created it was layered onto brown cardstock and placed on the card base.

Next Gus was sized and printed out using the color digi stamp.  A little sparkle was added using the Nuvo Small Glue Pen, Waterfall, Creamsicle and Margarita glitter.  Clear Crystal Drops were used on his glass and fish.  Margarita glitter was added around the edges using the Nuvo Medium Glue Pen. The panel was then layered onto brown cardstock and placed on top of the card base.

Twine was wrapped around the card base and tied in a bow.

The sentiment was printed and die cut using the Tonic Eastern Oyster Layering Dies.  The edges were glittered the same as the image panel.  It was placed on the card using foam dots
