February Birthdays!!

It has been a busy card making month already!  The first week and I have had to make 3 birthday cards already!!  Here is a look at card I have made for our son, it will be his 33rd birthday.  Can't believe it, he is our baby.  I will be entering this card in Jo's Scrap Shack's  #36 Anything Goes Challenge.

I had these stamps in my stash and decided to use them.  The image was colored using copic markers, die cut a frame and placed the image behind and the chair on top.  I embossed the bottom area with versamark and Hit The Beach EP and added Mudd Puddles . Using a glue pen and Waterfall, Sparkling Snow and Green Iris to add sparkle to the image.

My second card was a flying easel card.  You can find a great tutorial on Karen Burniston's blog.  the background paper was embossed with Brocade Backgrounds stamp and Indian Spark EP.

The scalloped border was die cut from sticker paper and glittered using Daisy glitter.  The butterflies are a die cut from Stampin Up.  They really make you feel like warm weather and spring on the horizon ;)

A look at the card closed

Enjoy the rest of the week and remember....Keep Stamping!!

  6. Hi Belinda, Thanks for joining us at Jo's Scrap Shack FFC 36. This is an awesome card...really love the aperture window with the pretty lighthouse scene, and your chair on the outside of the frame. I've got some of the mudd puddles (from SnS on a shopping trip), but haven't used them yet. Very interested to see how you enhanced your design on #1 card with this product. #2 was equally awesome. I have never done a card fold like this, and will be checking out your tutorial link. TFS & have a great wkend.
