To My Husband

Good morning all, hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July!! I would like to share a card with you using the new Wetlands #1 stamp set.  I just love this set, so many ways to use this stamp. The card base was created using Sizzix's honeycomb embossing folder and Spellbinder's Radiant Rectangles.  A strip of 1/2" Tear-ific tape was placed on the edges of the card base.  The protective backing was removed and covered with Black Suede glitter.  The sentiment was stamp onto a piece of left over background paper.

To My Husband

To start my card I need to create my background.

To My Husband

Using my large acrylic block as my stamp , I applied distress inks to the block and misted with water.  I stamped onto a piece of watercolor paper to create my sunset background.  Love the use of the block as a stamp.

Next it was time to stamp the images, I inked the stamp with versamark and then re inked with black ink.  Clear embossing powder was applied to the images and heat set.

The bird was inked using the same technique and fussy cut out.  Sparkle was added to the water using a glue pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.

Hope you will stop by SNS to see all of the newly released stamp sets they are just beautiful!!

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a wonderful day and remember......Keep Stamping!!
