Are you having fun yet??  There are so many beautiful stamps this month that it was hard to pick one favorite, but I decided on the Proudly Patriotic set for some 4th of July fun.  Come along and let me show you have it was created!!  First I needed to create my background and choose to dry and heat emboss my background paper.  Using a Cuttlebug embossing folder the white cardstock was embossed, while the cardstock was still on the embossing folder I inked the raised areas using a brayer and versamark ink.  The fireworks were then covered using Golden Sparkle, Firecracker Red, Silver Lightening and Cerulean Star embossing powders.  The powders were then heat set.  Wow I really loved how pretty this turned out.  You can find a tutorial Here on how to create this look!

Here is a closer look at the pretty background.  Around the outer layer sparkle was added using 1/2" Tear-ific Tape and Sassy Silver glitter.  The step was repeated using 1/4" Tear-ific Tape  for the inner layer with the Princess Anna Royal used for the sparkle.

The image was stamped and colored using copic markers.  Fussy cut out and glittered using the Nuvo Small Glue Pen, Sparkling Snow and Sassy Silver glitter. The flag was placed on the background paper using foam tape. The sentiment was stamped with red ink and glitterd by tracing over the letter with the small glue pen, glittering with Fire Engine Red and Princess Anna Royal glitter.  It was then fussy cut around placed on top of the flag with foam dots.  a small red pull ribbon was placed behind the sentiment.

The stars were all die cut using a Sizzix's die glittered using Fire Engine Red, Princess Anna Royal, and Sparkling Snow glitter.  They were placed on the card using foam dots.  Small drops of White Crystal Drops were added to the centers.

I really loved how this turned out can't wait to make this for my 4th of July cards this year!!  I have also created a scrapbook layout using this digi set and I will leave you with a sneak peek of it.  Be sure to stop back by to see the finished layout.

Have fun on the hop your next stop is the Corner Garden surprise !!

Each Day Always Holds Beautiful Moments

Happy Monday all, hope you had a great weekend!!!  This morning I would like to share my last card using the new stamps from Sparkle N Sprinkle's March Reveal, it is using the Bonnet Bouquet stamp set.  I did use both the rubber and digi stamps on this card.

To start my easel card I used Spellbinder's Fancy Circle dies to cut the card base.  To create the pretty shimmer background paper I covered a piece of heavy cardstock with Nuvo Aquamarine Mousse,  Nuvo Lemon Sorbet Mousse and Nuvo Spring Green Mousse.  Once it was dry It was die cut with Spellbinder's Circle dies.  This really created a beautiful shimmery background for my card.  These mousses are so beautiful be sure to look them up in the SNS store!

Next the image was stamped on top of cardstock that had been prepped with clear gesso for water coloring.  The image was colored using Tombow markers and a aqua brush.  Once dry sparkle was added using Nuvo Small Glue Pen, Waterfall and Sunny Daze glitter. Drops of Orange Marmalade Jewel Drops were placed in the center of the flowers.  The image was fussy cut out and placed on top of the card front.  Small drops of Dandelion Crystal Drops were added around the fancy circle.

For the inside of the card I printed the flower and sentiment from the color digi set which I did enlarge.  The flower was cut using my Silhouette and the sentiment was fussy cut.  Glitter was added to the flower using the small glue pen, Spirited Green and Sunny Daze glitter.  Small drops of Ebony Black Crystal Drops were added to the flower.

A look at the card closed!

Patriotic Layout

Good morning all, hope you are enjoying your day!!  Today I would like to share a layout with you using the new Patriotic Girlfriends stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  For this project I did you the digi set and enlarged them to fit my project.  Let's get started on the project.

As you can see the images are quite large that is the fun part of using digi.  Let me share a card using the actual rubber stamp so that you can see the difference.

You can really get creative with digi stamps and make then fit any project whether big or small.

To start the background layers for my layout, I embossed a piece of white cardstock with a Cuttlebug stars embossing folder.  The raised areas of the stars were covered with Nuvo Cornflower Blue Mousse.  This mousse is so pretty and shimmery!!

Next the fireworks were cut using svg files and my Silhouette.  They were cut from cardstock as well as sticker paper and glittered using Fire Engine Red, Colbalt Glaze, and Sassy Silver.  Small drops of Autumn Red Crystal Drops were placed in the center as well as on the star background layer. Small drops of the Autumn Red, Navy Blue and White Crystal Drops were used on the grey panel.

The America title was also enlarged and printed using the color version of the stamp set.  It was cut out using my Silhouette and placed on the layout using foam dots.

Here you see these cute gals all ready for a parade, as were my grandchildren in the photos!!  They were enlarged, printed using the color version of the digi stamp and cut out using the Silhouette.  Sparkle was added to them using Nuvo Small Glue Pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.  They were placed on the layout using foam tape.

As you can see digi stamps are so versatile in that they can be sized to fit any project.  You can print either the color version are the black and white and color yourself.  Be sure to hop on over to Sparkle N Sprinkle to see all of the digi stamp sets!!
