Always Be Yourself

Good morning everyone, hope you are all having a great day!!  Well summer is here and I wanted to share a cute mermaid card with you using the newly released Tropical Mermaid Alana (digi) from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  Isn't she just the cutest!!

The image was sized and printed out using the color digi stamp.  Using the Spellbinder's Radiant Rectangle Dies the frame was die cut and placed on top of a piece of sticker paper, backing removed and covered with Sparkling Snow glitter.  This created the beautiful sparkly background for my cute mermaid!

Small drops of Sea Breeze Jewel Drops were placed on the bubbles.  Sparkle was added to the image using Nuvo Small Glue Pen, Spirited Green, Starfire and Waterfall glitter.

The shells, starfish and sentiment was printed out and cut out using the Silhouette. Color was added to the shells using copic markers. Glitter was added to them using the small glue pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.  The shells were placed on the card using foam dots.  The branches were die cut using a Sizzix die.

Here is a close of the frame and all the pretty sparkle on the card!

Thanks for stopping by have a wonderful day and remember......Keep Stamping!!!

Good morning everyone hope you are ready for the weekend.  Today I would  to share a shaker card with you using the new Pool Friends stamp set!  I just love this sweet stamp these ladies look like they are having so much fun!!

Sink or Swim

The images are the digi version of the stamp set.  They were re sized,  printed and cut out.  All of the images were colored using copic makers.

Sink or Swim

For the main image sparkle was added to the water using a glue pen and Waterfall glitter.  For the shaker part of my card I used the beach ball and duck.  The water drops were made using Demo Donna's tutorial from May's Video Kit Club, Ultramarine Blue Color Burst and Morning Dew Crystal Drops.  For the frame of my shaker I used 1/2" Tear-ific Tape, Waterfall and Spirited Green glitter.

The beach ball and duck were glittered using a glue pen, Sunny Daze, Spritied Green, Waterfall, and Cherry Lemonade glittered.  They were placed on the card using foam dots.

California Dreamin'

Good afternoon everyone, hope you had a wonderful weekend!!  Today I'm sharing a card that I did for Sparkle N Sprinkle's Sept Reveal, all about the beach!!

My card base is a simple stepper card

Simple Stepper Card Tutorial
This easy technique can be applied to make a card any width. The complete card shown above was made from a 5" wide card base.  You can find details Here on how to create this design.

I started my card by stamping images from 3 different stamp set Surf's Up, Tropical and Surfin Woody stamp set.  The images were colored with copic markers and fussy cut out.  The waves were cut using my Sihouette on white cardstock.  I applied Ultramarine Blue Color Burst and misted with water to create the blue on the top wave.  Using a glue pen to the edges of both waves I added sparkle using Sparkling Snow glitter.

Once the fence was colored and cut out, Florida Beach and Spirited Green was applied using a glue pen.  2 strips of Tear-ific Tape were used on the front panel, 1/2" piece was placed at the top and glittered using Waterfall glitter.  A 3/4" piece was placed next and glittered using Celestial glitter, the fence was then placed on top using pop dots.

The sun rays were created using Tim Holtz's Sun Rays stencil with embossing paste.  I took a small amount of Metallic Melon gelato and mixed it with the embossing paste, them covered the stencil with it.  While the paste was still wet I lightly dusted with Sparkling Snow.  When the paste was completely dry I sponged the bottom area using the same Melon gelato.  A small piece of cardstock was torn, inked with versamark and embossed using Hit the Beach EP.  The piece was then inked again with versamark and a small amount of Magic Speckle EP was applied and heat set.  The edges were then inked with brown ink.

The background paper that the surf boards were stamped on was made using Pthalo Green, Lemon Yellow, Violet, Ultramarine Blue Color Burst.  I applied a small amount of each color onto watercolor paper and misted with water.  The colors really turned out so pretty.  The boards were stamped and fussy cut once the paper had dried.

The sentiment was stamped with versamark and embossed using Sapphire EP.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a wonderful evening and remember.....Keep Stamping!!
