Hope you all are having a fun time on the blog hop!!  There are so many amazing stamp sets this month, as well as the digi pack.  I have loved playing with many of them this month.  For this month's reveal I chose the Patriotic Girls stamp set and a starburst background.  Come along and let me show you how it was created.

To start the background I used left over papers and cut them in 1" and 2" strips.  You will cut them in a diagonal. Once the strips are cut I layered them on top of sticker paper, starting in the middle.

Continue layering around the sticker paper.  Once you have completed the background, you will cut off any excess paper.

Once all the strip have been cut cover the remain sticky parts with Sparkling Snow glitter.  You can find a tutorial HERE on this technique.

Next I stamped the image with black ink colored with copic makers and added glitter using Nuvo's Small Glue Pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.  They were then fussy cut out and were layered on top of a circle die cut using Spellbinders Circle dies.

The edge of the blue and red cardstock were lined with 1/8" Tear-ific Tape the protective backing was removed and glittered using Fire Engine Red and Denim glitters.

The sentiment was stamped using the Patriotic Icons stamp set along with versamark and embossed with White Detail EP.  I really loved how this turned out.  I have also completed a scrapbook layout using the digi version of this stamp set.  I will leave you with a sneak peek of it.  I would love for you to stop back by to see the complete project!

Thanks so much for stopping by have fun on the blog next stop is the very talented ANNE!!

  14. What a wonderful, sparkling card for a 4th of July celebration! Love the idea of using the glitter between the pieces that were set up on the diagonal, that makes it easier to leave a little space between the paper pieces, and adds an extra sparkle!
