Hope everyone is enjoying the blog hop this month!!  We have so really cool stamp sets for you this month with some oh so cool glitter!!  I chose to use the digi version of the Disco Fever stamp set along with sticker paper and all 4 of the new neon glitter.  Let me show you my Disco Granny Card complete with it's own disco ball!!

To start my card, I created a Pop Out Window Card.  I saw this design on Pinterest and thought oh how I could create this cute card using this technique.  Here is a link to the tutorial complete with video and instructions.  The card base was created using black cardstock.  Using Spellbinder's Circle dies I cut the circle for the middle panel using the 3 largest circle.

Next 4 smaller circles were die cut using sticker paper the backing was removed and glittered using Silver Dreams glitter.  The circles were scored in the middle and folded in half.  They were then glued together.  The fishing line was then cut and placed in the middle and the last 2 halves where then glued to together to created this sparkly disco ball!  Using a glue pen around the opening lines were drawn and glittered using Sassy Silver glitter.

Next the panels were made using sticker paper, Paint Splat Stencil and neon glitter.  To prep the stencil so that it will not stick to the sticker I rubbed Coconut Soap all over the back of the stencil.  The protective backing was removed from the sticker paper and the stencil was then placed on top.  Next came the fun, using all 4 of the new neon glitters Energized, Electrified, Exulted, Exhilarated the background was created. I just love love love these new glitters.  The colors are so bright and vibrant.  I just added the colors one at a time around the stencil.  Here is a tutorial on this technique.  The panels were then layered onto yellow cardstock and placed on the card base.  The sentiment was printed and fussy cut around.  Using a glue pen I added the neon glitter to the groovin'.  It was then placed on the card using pop dots.

It was time to add granny to the card.  The image was printed and cut out using my Silhouette. She was colored using copic markers.  Next the neon glitter was added to her using a glue pen.  She was placed on the card using pop dots.  The inside was finished!  She was ready to disco all night long!

The front of the card was created using the same technique with sticker paper, neon glitter and a stencil.  The sentiment was printed and neon glitter was added using a glue pen.

Closer look at the background.  This card really takes me back to some really fun times!!  Hope you have enjoyed my disco card, here is a little sneak peek of project to come using the new stamp sets.

I hope you are enjoying the hop make sure to visit each one of the talented designers for some really beautiful projects!!!  Next stop is ANNE.

Happy Birthday

Good morning everyone, today I would like to share a card with you using the newly released Thinking of You stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  This is a beautiful stamp set!!  The background layer was embossed using a Anna Griffin embossing folder.  I placed a strip of 1/4" Tear-ific Tape along the outer layer and glittered using Autumn Medley glitter.

To create the background panel for my image, I used the Wrinkle Free Distress technique.

To start I laid down Mustard Yellow, Spiced Marmalade, and Bamboo Leave ink onto my craft mat.

Next the inks were misted with water.

Using watercolor paper I laid the paper on top of the misted ink, pressed down and lifted off.
The paper was then dried with my heat gun.

I then placed the paper on top of the remaining ink and once again heat dried.

 Finished background, so pretty!!

The sunflower image was then stamped with versamark onto the background paper and embossed with Coffee EP.  I used a brush and picked up so of the Bamboo Leave ink and placed on the leaves for a little more color.  I placed dimensional glue on the center of the flowers and covered with micro beads.  Using 1/8" Tear-ific Tape the twine was created using Autumn Medley glitter .  You can find a tutorial HERE for this technique.

A second flower images was stamped onto some remaining background paper using versamark and embossed with Coffee EP.  It was fussy cut around, dimensional glue added to the center and micro beads placed on top.  The sentiment was also stamped onto the background paper with versamark and embossed using Coffee EP. The flower was then placed on the card using a pop dot and some left over twine was placed behind the flower.

Thanks so much for stopping by have a blessed day and remember......Keep Stamping!!

You are in my Thoughts

Good morning everyone, it's Friday (yay)!!  Sharing another card made with a newly released stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle, the digi Poppies.

Using an A2 size card I trimmed down about 2" from the top and punched the edge with a circle punch to create my card base.  I embossed a strip of white cardstock using a Anna Griffin border embossing folder.

The sentiment was printed and layered onto the card front.  Using dimensional glue I placed 4 dots of glue and covered with Fire Engine Red glitter.  Allowed to dry overnight then brushed off the excess glitter.  A red Pull Ribbon bow was added to the front.

For the inside I printed the single poppy from the set and centered it inside the circle opening.  A second flower was printed and fussy cut out and placed on top of the first image using a pop dot.  To create the splattered  look I used Alizarin Crimson Color Burst with water.  Dip a small brush into the color and lightly tapped the brush splattering the color.

Sparkle was added to the flower using a glue pen, Spirited Green and Fire Engine Red glitter.  For the bow I used a piece of 1/8" Tear-ific Tape removed the protective backing and rolled the tape to create a twine, covered with Fire Engine Red glitter.  You can find a tutorial HERE for this technique.

Sweet Birthday

Good evening everyone, I would like to share a shaker card I made for a sweet little girl in my Sunday School class.  I used the digi Birthday Queen from Sparkle N Sprinkle for this cute card!!

The image was re-sized, printed and cut out using my Silhouette.  I love using the digital version of stamps as they can be sized to fit any project.  The background layer was die cut using Spellbinder's Circle dies to create the window for the shaker.  Next I embossed a piece of white cardstock using a Anna Griffin embossing folder.

The birthday queen was colored with copic markers and glittered using a glue pen along with Waterfall and Pinkerbell glitter.

Using the largest 2 circle dies nested together I cut 2 pieces of black foam to create the window for the shaker elements. Next I cut a piece of acetate for the window using the circle die.  The sentiment was printed and placed on the card background.  Small hearts and micro beads were added and the shaker window was adhere to the card base.  A small silver Pull Ribbon bow was added to the front of the card.  Such a cute card for a sweet little girl!!  Oh and my grand daughter wanted to know if I could make her one ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by have a wonderful evening and remember....Keep Stamping!!

Thinking of You

Happy New Year all, hope you had a wonderful holiday season!!  I would like to share with you this morning a card using the newly released Thinking of You stamp set.

Thinking of You

To start off my card I used a piece of watercolor paper and sprinkled a small amount of Orange, Blue and Green Nuance powder on top.  It was then misted with water to let the colors come alive!!  This really created a beautiful background for my card.  Once the paper was dry it was embossed with a Anna Griffin embossing folder.  The raised embossed area was then lightly inked with brown ink.

Thinking of You

A strip of vanilla cardstock was embossed using a Anna Griffin border embossing folder.  A piece of 1/8 Tear-ific tape was placed on the top and bottom of the border piece and glittered using Parisian Mist glitter.  The sentiment was stamped with brown ink and fussy cut around.

Thinking of You

The flowers were stamped using black ink and colored with copic markers.  They were then fussy cut out.  The center of the flowers were glittered using a glue pen and Bronze Splendor glitter.  For the sparkle on the leaves I used a glue pen and Spirited Green glitter. Next I cut a mason jar using my Silhouette, and placed the flowers on the jar.

Thinking of You

The bottom of the jar was covered with Glossy Accents and lightly dusted with Sparkling Snow glitter. I did not notice that when I misted the background paper that some of the color had gotten on the jar, but I really liked the look.  Sometimes mistakes are good!  The Glossy Accents were allowed to dry overnight.  To finish off I added a small bow using the Gold Pull Ribbon.

Thanks so much for stopping by have a wonderful day and remember...Keep Stamping!
