Wrinkle Free Distress

Good afternoon all, hope your day is going great!!  This morning challenge at Splitcoaststampers Hope You Can Cling was to use the Wrinkle Free Distress technique.  I had never use this technique and was not even sure what it was.  There is a tutorial here to show you what to do.  This is a really fun technique and the results are so pretty.  Here are two cards I finished using this technique.

For this card I used Tim Holtz's Distress Inks Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade and Memento Teal Zeal and Bamboo Leaves.  After the cardstock dried I stamped with Brilliance Coffee Bean using Finnabair Rust & Dust stamp.  The butterfly was die cut using Die-Versions Pretty Wings die on sticker paper.  Then removing the sticker paper backing a little at a time and applying different color glitter I created a beautiful sparkly butterfly.  The sentiment was stamped with black ink to finish a really beautiful card.  Love the look of the Wrinkle Free Distress paper.

Using the same technique and only three shade of ink Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Bamboo Leaves I created a fall background.  Once the paper was dry I stamped with a leaf stamp using Coffee Bean ink.  The image is from Sparkle N Sprinkle Pilgrim Thanksgiving it was stamped with black ink and colored using copic markers.  The leaves were punched using white cardstock and inked with Coffee Bean and Bamboo Leaves ink.

If you have not tried this technique it is a must!!  I know I will be using it again.

Thanks so much for stopping by have a wonderful evening and remember....Keep Stamping!!

It's Almost Thanksgiving!

Good morning everyone, it's almost Thanksgiving, and I'm thankful for so much this year!!

My Thanksgiving cards have all been made and mailed, so I thought I would share them with you.

I used SNS Crackle Background stamp and embossing folders on the leaves.  Some leaves were embossed using Gold, Autumn Medley, Pine Green EP.  The sentiment is SNS Pilgrim Thanksgiving stamp set.

For the pretty sparkle on this card I used SNS Orange Surprise and Sparkling Snow.
The front panel was embossed using Tim Holtz's woodgrain embossing folder.  For the turkey breast I created the paper using my gelli plate.

The front panel paper was created using leaves from outside and a gelli plate.  The sparkle is Sparkling Snow and Spirited Green glitter from SNS.

And finally a project my daughter and I did for her secret sister at church.  This cute acorn holds small treats and is just so cute.  This was cut using my Cameo, inked and put together.

I embossed the leaves with the Houndtooth embossing folder.  For the top of the acorn I stamped it with SNS Crackle Background stamp with white ink.  Tied a ribbon and filled it with a few treats!

Wishing you all a very blessed Thanksgiving!

Thanks so much for stopping by and remember.....Keep Stamping!!

Wonder which Designer contains the Grand Prize this month?

Don't you just love all these new Releases!!  I have been having so much fun with them.  I just loved the Pilgrim Thanksgiving stamp set.  I knew I could do a cute side step card with it, so off I went creating.

The images were all colored using copic markers.  I decided to separate the little guys and used them standing alone.  I create my background paper with my gelli plate using green, blue and orange paints.  It really turned out so pretty!! I added Bronze Splendor glitter along the edges of the background paper.

These images are so cute, and so sparkly with all that pretty glitter!!  The glitters used on them are, Sparkling SnowFire Engine RedSpirited Green and Daisy.

I stamped the sentiment and used a glue pen and Autumn Medley glitter around the edges of the cardstock.  I stamped a second image and cut out the heart and glittered it using a glue pen and Fire Engine Red glitter.  It was then placed on top of the first image with a pop dot.

For these beautiful leaves, I collected them from my yard.  I inked them with versamark and embossed them with Green Marbled Christmas  and Sienna Star EP.  There is a wonderful tutorial HERE with more details on embossing on leaves.  These turned out so pretty, I was just so happy with how they looked!  The little tag was stamped and along the edges glittered using a glue pen and Autumn Medley glitter.

I hope you have enjoyed my cute little card!!!  I had so much fun making it and just love how cute Side Step Cards are.  If you would like more details on how to make my card please visit my GALLERY.

I would like to share a sneak peek of a project to come using the new Sunflower stamp set.
