It's Christmas in July, and I just love this Christmas Skate stamp set!! Hope you all are enjoying the blog hop, there are so many pretty stamp sets this month!! Let me share with you how I created my card.
To create the background I used the tutorial by Demo Donna for a Lacey Glitter background. This creates such a beautiful sparkly look. I used Elegant Emerald first then removed the lace and covered the remaining areas with Champagne glitter. Hope you can see all the beautiful sparkle!!
I placed a piece of 1/2" Tear-ific Tape on the right side of the background paper removed the protective backing and covered with Fire Engine Red glitter. Next the bow was die cut using Anna Griffin bow die and sticker paper. The backing was removed and the pieces were glittered with Fire Engine Red glitter. Want 2 Scrap pearls were placed in the center.
I used the digi stamp for the sentiment, the rubber stamp was to big for the die. The bottom embellishment was die cut using Spellbinder's Radiant Rectangles and sticker paper. The backing was removed and glittered using Sparkling Snow glitter. The sentiment was then placed on top using a foam dot. To create the background paper, I used Anna Griffin Snowflake embossing folder. To give the snowflakes a bit of shimmer Nuvo Mother of Pearl Mousse was used on the raised areas. This was my first time using the mousse and it is just beautiful!! A small strip of left over lace background was adhered to the middle of the bottom panel.
We hope you enjoy the New Reveal Blog Hop as much as we do. Thanks for joining us and remember to visit and comment on each of the eight Designers' blogs to be eligible for the Grand Prize. (Checked for compliance.)
