Rustic Flowers

Good morning everyone, hope you are all having a great day.  Today I would like to share a project with you using the Rustic Flower stamp set.

To get my project started I needed to create the background panel.

To start I adhere a piece of tin foil to a piece of cardstock and distressed it with Stazon ink.  Next I inked the raised side of a embossing folder, placed the cardstock inside foil side up and ran it  through the Big Shot.  The piece was then covered with Golden Sparkle EP and heat set.  This really created a beautiful vintage background for my flower can.

Next I embossed a piece of cardstock with a Anne Griffin Border folder.  Using the Nuvo Large Glue Pen glue was placed on the raised areas and edges.  Let the glue dry slightly and then Nuvo Gilding Flakes were placed on top.  The excess with lightly brushed off.

Small drops of Copper Penny Crystal Drops were on placed the background flower centers, and Pale Gold Crystal Drops on the border strip flowers.

The flower can is from the digi stamp set.  I used the color version resized the image, printed and cut it out using the Cameo Silhouette.  Sparkle was added to the flowers using Nuvo Small Glue penChameleon, MargaritaBubblegumDaisyOrange Crush glitter.  Small drops of Pale Gold Crystal drops were added to the can and a small Pull Ribbon bow was added.
Thanks so much for stopping by hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and remember.....Keep Stamping!!

Faux Fresco Techinque

Good morning all, posting today from the beautiful state of Arizona!!  Today I would like to share a card using the newly released Secret Garden stamp from SparkleNSprinkle and the Faux Fresco techinque from Splitcoaststampers.  This was a really fun techinque and I was so pleased with the end results.  HERE you will find a tutorial on how to create this look.  I used a new embossing folder from Anna Griffin, Inktense Pencils, white acrylic paint, Sparkle EP (instead of clear) this added the pretty sparkle to the background.  The edges were inked.

Here is a closer look at the background!

The bracket was cut using my Silhouette and the key image was stamped with Stazon ink and colored with watercolors.  Using a glue pen, Sparkling Snow and Evening Glow glitter a touch of sparkle was added.  A strip of glitter ribbon was run through the label and adhered to the back of the background panel.

A small silver Pull Ribbon was added to the label and a small flower was punched using a Fisker Punch.

Hope you will give this technique a try it is really pretty and fun to create!!!  Thanks so much for stopping by, have a blessed day and remember.....Keep Stamping!!

Thinking of You

Happy New Year all, hope you had a wonderful holiday season!!  I would like to share with you this morning a card using the newly released Thinking of You stamp set.

Thinking of You

To start off my card I used a piece of watercolor paper and sprinkled a small amount of Orange, Blue and Green Nuance powder on top.  It was then misted with water to let the colors come alive!!  This really created a beautiful background for my card.  Once the paper was dry it was embossed with a Anna Griffin embossing folder.  The raised embossed area was then lightly inked with brown ink.

Thinking of You

A strip of vanilla cardstock was embossed using a Anna Griffin border embossing folder.  A piece of 1/8 Tear-ific tape was placed on the top and bottom of the border piece and glittered using Parisian Mist glitter.  The sentiment was stamped with brown ink and fussy cut around.

Thinking of You

The flowers were stamped using black ink and colored with copic markers.  They were then fussy cut out.  The center of the flowers were glittered using a glue pen and Bronze Splendor glitter.  For the sparkle on the leaves I used a glue pen and Spirited Green glitter. Next I cut a mason jar using my Silhouette, and placed the flowers on the jar.

Thinking of You

The bottom of the jar was covered with Glossy Accents and lightly dusted with Sparkling Snow glitter. I did not notice that when I misted the background paper that some of the color had gotten on the jar, but I really liked the look.  Sometimes mistakes are good!  The Glossy Accents were allowed to dry overnight.  To finish off I added a small bow using the Gold Pull Ribbon.
