Have a Nice Day

Good afternoon all, hope you had a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!!
Today I would like to share with you a card made using masking technique with a really cool layering stamp set from Hampton Arts. If you haven't visited the new SNS website lately, you might not know that Sparkle N Sprinkle also sells a nice selection of Hampton Art, Stampendous, House Mouse, and Tonic Studios rubber stamps

To create the background I used Color Burst and water on watercolor paper.

The paper was then misted to create a really beautiful background.

Once misted this is what I had.  I lightly rolled a roll of paper towel on top to pick up the water.

Once dry this is how it looked, I was really pleased.  The next step was to stamp the fern image using Memento Cottage Ivy and heat emboss using Clear EP

Next the flamingo was stamped several times using Memento Lady Bug and Picked Raspberry Distress ink.  I continue stamping with the inks until I achieved the look I was going far.  The image was then fussy cut out.

I stamped the pineapple and flower images out once and fussy cut them out to do the masking technique.  The images were then stamped using the mask to create this pretty panel.  The small flowers were placed on the panel using foam dots as well as the flamingo.  The sentiment was stamped in black ink using the Tropical Stamp and heat embossed with Clear EP. Sparkle was added using the small Nuvo Glue Pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.

The masking technique is really fun and works great with these layering stamps.  I hope you will give it a try here you can find a tutorial using this technique.

Right Beside You

Good morning everyone, hope you are having a wonderful day.  Today I would like to share a project using the new Right Beside You stamp set.  I just love this set, it makes me think of my twin grand babies, they love to swing!!  Let get started on how this was created.

To start the project the background needed to be created.  I used distress inks to create this look,  A circle mask was used for the sun.  Next the image of the tree was stamped with black ink and embossed with Sparkle EP.   The sentiment was stamped with black ink.  Small drops of Sea Breeze Jewel Drops were placed on the top and bottom of the sentiment.  These are a very pretty translucent color and perfect for all your embellishments.  A strip of 1/4" Tear-ific tape was placed on the layer of cardstock and glittered using Silver Dreams.   The top right corner was rolled down and a large drop of White Crystal Drop was placed on the corner with a smaller drop of Caribbean Ocean Crystal Drop on top of the white drop.

The cute little image of the children was then stamped and the steps were repeated.  Using the small Nuvo Glue Pen on the tree a bit of sparkle was added using Champagne glitter.

Thanks so much for stopping by have a great day and remember.....Keep Stamping!!

Festive Lantern

Good morning all, I would like to share a festive card with you using the new Festive Lantern stamp set!!

Festive Lantern

To start my card I used the new glimmer paste to create background papers.  Using the Emerald Green on green cardstock, Moonstone on white cardstock and Garnet Red along with a stencil on white cardstock the layers for my card were created and allowed to dry overnight.  These glimmer paste are so beautiful and can be used in some many different ways.  I just love how beautiful they are using a stencil.

Festive Lantern

The poinsettia were stamped onto the cardstock (sorry I forgot to take a picture) and stamped a second time fussy cut out and used as a mask.  The lantern was then stamped on top of the poinsettia mask.
The lantern was colored using copic markers.  To create the look of glass on the lantern dimensional glue was added to the glass panes and allowed to dry.  Dimensional glue dries clear looking like glass. Evening GlowWaterfall, Golden Silver, Sassy Silver and Sparkling Snow glitter was used on the candle.

Festive Lantern

The poinsettia were colored using copic markers and Honey Gold Crystal Drops were applied to the centers.  To applied the Gliding Flakes to the edges of the panels I used the large Nuvo Glue Pen.  I placed 3 small dots on the top corner using a green maker and then placed drops of Morning Dew Crystal Drops on top.  Using a marker with the clear drops really make for pretty embellishments.

Festive Lantern

A stencil was placed on top of the white cardstock, and Garnet Red Glimmer Paste was applied using a palette knife.  I hope you can see all the beautiful shimmer of this paste, it is gorgeous.

Festive Lantern

Using the glimmer paste on the cardstock created beautiful shimmery paper and layers for my festive card.

I hope you have enjoyed my card as much as I did making it!!
