ScrapyLand Challenge #86

Good morning everyone it's time for a new Scrapy Land Challenge  The theme is always ANYTHING GOES using any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells.  In addition, we have TWO WINNERS for each challenge.  One will be a random winner and the other is chosen by the Design Team.  Each winner will receive a generous $10 gift certificate to Scrapy Land.

Let me show you how my Easter card came together!  To start the card base I used the pretty border die from Crafter's Companion .  You can find similar border dies Here.   Using the 3d embossing folder from Crafter's Companion along with Nuvo Mousse the background layer was created.  I love using the mousse and this embossing folder!  I did place small drops of Dandelion Crystal drops on the small flowers.

My lily panel was then die cut using heavy weight cardstock using the Easter Lilies Window die.  By using the heavy cardstock the die did not cut all the way through.  By doing this I was able to color the lilies using Nuvo Glitter Markers.  The glitter markers gave the lilies a beautiful sparkle shimmer.  I then cut around the outside of the die.  A second die was cut using black cardstock.  This was placed on top of the white cardstock using spray adhesive.

The butterfly was die cut using Elizabeth Craft Design die.  I used the tutorial from Elizabeth Craft Design to create my glittery butterfly along with Sparkle N Sprinkle glitter.

Now it's your turn can't wait to see what you create!!  Head on over to Scrapy Land to see the amazing projects my design team members have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Anything Goes project using a brand of die Scrapy Land carries. I can't wait to see what you create   You have until April 1st to upload your projects

Happy Birthday Stained Glass Card

Good morning all, hope you are having a great week!!  Just wanted to let you know you still have time to join us over at Scrapy Land for the Challenge #84.  Be sure to link up your project to have a chance to win!!   I would like to share a 2nd card I made with the beautiful  Sue Wilson Designs Stained Glass Collections - Sail Boat die.  I just love this die!!

To create the colorful background I used Ken Oliver Color Burst Powders, watercolor paper and water.

These colors are so vibrant!!  Once the background was dry, adhesive was added to the entire background paper using spray adhesive.  The die cut sail boat was placed on top of the sticky background paper.  To complete the card Sparkling Snow glitter was sprinkled on top of the open areas and burnished with my finger.  This gave the finished project a pretty sparkle.

The shells were stamped using Sparkle N Sprinkle's Tropical Stamp Set.

Burst Through Halloween Card

Good morning everyone, hope your day is off to a great start!!  Last week Splitcoaststampers shared a tutorial for a Burst Through technique, and I couldn't wait to give it a try.  I had just received Anne Griffin's Halloween dies and thought the ghost would work perfectly!!  Here is a look at my spooky card!

The sparkly you see is Green Nugget glitter.  The spider web is from the same Anne Griffin dies.

The slime was created by drawing the slime with dimensional glue onto acetate, covered it with Green Nugget glitter and let dry over night.  Once dry remove it from the acetate and place on your card!

Easter Fun!

Good morning everyone, for the month of May reveal at Sparkle N Sprinkle the designers were asked to use Dreamweaver Stencils and different techniques on our projects. I would like to share my layout using Dreamweaver's Corner Flowers stencil with embossing paste and glitter.

To start my layout I placed the stencil in the bottom and top corners and covered it using Dreamweaver's White Embossing Paste.

The stencil was them removed and glitter was applied to the flowers using Spirited Green, Waterfall, Daisy, Bubblegum and Purple Dust.   Here is a tutorial on this technique.

Next I placed the stencil onto white cardstock and used a sponge daubers with distress ink on several of the flowers.  They were then fussy cut out and placed under the photo.

Waterfall, Bubblegum and Sparkling Snow glitter was added to the little bunny and eggs using a glue pen.  This bunny was a svg file.  The grass border was die cut and placed under the photo.

Additional stenciling was added using Dreamweaver Pearlescent Embossing Powder and TCW Mini Quatrefoil stencil.  These were just placed at random on the page.

The title was also a svg file that was cut and glittered using a glue pen and Waterfall, Evening Glow, Bubblegum and Spirited Green glitter.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a wonderful day!!

Good Morning All

Happy Friday everyone, hope you are ready for the weekend!!  Today I would like to share my design based on Sparkle N Sprinkle's April Techinque Video.  This is such an easy way to create a beautiful sparkly card, and with Sparkle N Sprinkle's 2 1/2 Tear-ifc Tape and beautiful glitter you will be so happy with the end result!!

I used the Sunflower stamp set and stamped the main image onto vellum with versamark and embossed with White Detail EP.  Once the embossing had cool I flipped it over and color the image with copic markers.  The image was then cut out.  This was my first try with the vellum and embossing and I really like how it turned out.
Taking my orange layer I stamped the smaller image around the top and bottom with versamark and embossed using Clear EP.  A strip of 2 1/2" Tear-ific Tape was placed on a piece of cardstock.  The backing was removed and the butterflies were die cut using the protective backing.  They were place randomly on top of the tape.  With the butterfly mask in place I covered the tape with Starfire glitter, brushed off the excess glitter and removed the masks.  The butterflies were then covered using Sunset glitter.  The sparkle is just so pretty!!

Small pearls were placed in the middle of the butterflies.

Closer look at this beautiful sunflower.  The white embossing just makes the whole image pop!!

Here is a look at my second card using the same techinque!

This card was made using the Friendship Flowers stamp set just released this month!  The pretty glitter on this card is Princess Anna Fuschsia.

The image was stamped and colored using copic markers.  I fussy cut the image out and inked the entire image with versamark and embossed using Velvet Sparkle EP.

Here is the video with all the details on how to create this beautiful sparkly card!!

Get Well Wishes

Good afternoon everyone, hope your is day is going great!!!  I would like to share my last card using the newly released Old Well stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  For this card I only used the sweet little bunnies and sentiment.

To create the brick wall I embossed white cardstock with Tim Holtz's brick wall embossing folder.  Using pastel chalks I colored the wall and torn along one edge.  The wall was adhere to the front panel of my card and distressed around the edges.  The sentiment was stamped using versamark and embossed with Raspberry Tart EP.  Using 1/4" Tear-ific Tape and Green Nugget glitter a glittery edge was create for the card base.

This sweet butterfly is from Sparkle N Sprinkle's Brocade Background stamp set.  It was stamped using pastel inks and glittered using a glue pen, Spirited Green and Evening Glow glitter.

I stamped those cute little bunnies with black ink and colored using copic markers.  I used Elizabeth Craft's Design Outdoors Edges die for the grass and Memory Box Fence Die for the little fence.  A small strip of Mon Ami Gabby diamond mesh was added to the middle of the grass and finished off with a sweet dragonfly brad.

Mwah!!

Good afternoon everyone!!!  It is a cold wet day here in Houston, TX, so what better way to spend it but paper crafting!!  I wanted to share a swing card I just finished using Sparkle N Sprinkle Love and Kisses Digi stamp.

I created my card base using Spellbinders Scalloped and Plain Heart dies.  I used the larger hearts from both sets. You can find details and instructions on how to cut and score the card base HERE.

Since is this a large stamp I resized it and printed it out.  That is the fun with digi you can make them any size to fit your project.  I colored the image with copic markers and added some sparkle with a glue pen and Fire Engine Red glitter.  They are then fussy cut out.  The sentiment was also printed, inked and layered.

To add a little more details I embossed the white heart with Anne Griffin's new Scripted Love embossing folder.  After embossing I lightly inked the raised areas with a soft blue pigment ink.  Layer the embossed heart on top of the scalloped heart.  The cute couple was placed on the heart using pop dots.  Using modeling clay and 3D Rose Quartet mould, the roses were created.  I let the clay air dry, and then added a small amount of color using Pink Shimmerz and a small brush.  The roses were then lightly brushed with brushable glue and glittered with Sparkling Snow.  I used the newly released Seasonal Tree stamp set for the leaves.

Here is a look inside the card!!  I printed the sentiment, die cut with the heart die and inked the edges.  It was then layered on top of the scalloped heart.  For the inside panel I used Anne Griffin's Heart and Tassels embossing folder.  This is a really pretty folder and it also comes with a matching border folder.

Thanks so much for stopping by hope you have enjoyed my Valentine's Day card, it was really fun making.

Have a wonderful evening and remember....Keep Stamping!!

My Little Football Star!!

I hope you all are have a wonderful day!! A quick hello to all my newest followers, thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!!  I would like to share a football layout today.  I gave you a sneak peek of my layout a few weeks ago and here it is!!  This layout was created using Sparkle N Sprinkle Football Stamp Set.

To create my background paper I used the Mini Harlequin Stencil and molding paste.  I added blue acrylic paint to a small amount of molding paste and mixed.  Apply molding paste with spatula to stencil alternating the blue paste and white paste.  Remove the stencil and apply Sparkling Snow glitter while paste is wet.

Using the football, helmet and wording from the stamp set, I created a banner.  The images were colored using copic markers.  I applied glitter to the footballs and helmet, using a glue pen, Sparkling Snow and Gypsy Red glitter.

I used 1/2 Tear-ific tape, along each side of the background paper.  Remove the backing and burnish Gypsy Red glitter with your finger.  The player was colored using copic markers.

A closer look at the background paper made using molding paste and stencil.  I used a black ink pen to mark my plays along the top and bottom of my page.

The letters were cut using Cricut Classic Font.

I really love this stamp set!!!  Those little snowmen are just adorable and will looks so cute on any of your holiday or winter pages!  There is plenty of glitter, and more glitter!  You will want to view the SNS tutorial on how to create the glittery photo frame!  This is a wonderful technique and adds so much sparkle to your page or card background.

The little snow banks were made using white CS, tear your CS to make the banks.  You will want to add sparkle to the edges, I used Sparkling Snow.  The edges were inked with blue pigmented ink.

The snowmen were stamped with black ink and cut out. They were then colored with copic markers.  To add that sparkle to the hat, scarf and mittens, Reflection glitter was used.  The smaller snowman was popped up with a pop dot.

Those oh so sparkly snowflakes, were glittered with Reflection glitter and a rhinestone added to the middle!  I also added liquid glass to the larger snowman's eyes.  Stamp and ink that sweet sentiment "Baby it's Cold Outside".  Just a little more sparkle on that snowflake!
