Scrapy Land Challenge #96

It's time for a new Scrapy Land Challenge  The theme is always ANYTHING GOES using any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells.  In addition, we have TWO WINNERS for each challenge.  One will be a random winner and the other is chosen by the Design Team.  Each winner will receive a generous $10 gift certificate to Scrapy Land.

To start my card I created the background using distress inks and water.  Once dry a little stamping was done using Sparkle N Sprinkle's Journal Mixed Media stamp set.

The circle was die cut using Spellbinder's Circle dies and the sparkly butterfly was die cut using Die-Versions Pretty Wings die .  I used the Kiss Cut Glitter technique and Sparkle N Sprinkle glitter for the butterfly.  This technique is a really fun way to use your dies.

You can find similar dies Here

Scrapy Land will be celebrating their 100th Challenge in October, be sure to look out for all the details coming on wonderful prizes and a fun blog hop!!

Now it's your turn!!  Head on over to Scrapy Land to see the amazing projects my design team members have created for today's challenge. Then link up your Anything Goes project using a brand of die Scrapy Land carries. I can't wait to see what you create!

A Father

Good morning everyone,  I hope your day is off to a great start.  Today I would like to share a Father's Day card with you using the newly released Just Go Fishing (digi) stamp set.  I chose to only use the sentiment from the stamp set for my card.

A Father is Neither

To start my card I embossed the frame from Want 2 Scrap using several different embossing powders.

frame

I inked the frame with versamark and embossed it with White Detail EP.

frame1

I re inked the frame and embossed with Vintage EP.

frame3

To finish off the frame while the Vintage EP was still hot, I added a small amount of Magic Speckle EP and heat set.

The finished frame

The blue cardstock was embossed using an Anne Griffin embossing folder.  The raised areas were lightly sanded to give that distress look.  The sentiment was printed and placed behind the frame opening.  Small drops of Copper Penny Crystal Drops were added to the frame.

The anchor was created using the Kiss Cut Technique.  A piece of super adhesive sheet was placed on top of white cardstock, and the anchor was die cut.  I removed the protective backing of the anchor in sections and glittered using Chameleon, Reflections and Peruvian Lily glitter.  The anchor was placed on the card using pop dots.

A Chirpy Hello

Good morning everyone, hope you have had a wonderful week! Today I would like to share a card using the Secret Garden stamp set and the digi, along with Nesting Bird stamp set. To start my card I printed and cut the the re sized bird for the focal point of my card.  This was done using my Silhouette.   A second bird was stamped using the rubber stamp.  Both images were colored using copic markers.   Sparkle was added using a glue pen, Sunny Daze and Sparkle Snow glitter..  The background was embossed using a Anna Griffin embossing folder.  The leaves were die cut using the Branches and Leaves Sizzix die.  Small flowers were punched using a Fisher punch edges inked and a small pearl placed in the center.

The sentiment was stamped and punched out using a 1″ circle punch.

The bird cage was die cut using Tim Holtz’s Caged Bird die.  Chipboard was used for the cage, and it was distressed using Dreamweaver’s Crackle Embossing Paste.  Once the paste was dry it was inked using Memento Espresso Truffle.

Small pearls were added to the bottom of the cage.

Using Anna Griffin’s corner dies, the Kiss Cut Technique, Sticker PaperPistachio and Shell Pink glitter the sparkly corners were created.  This is a really fun and pretty technique.
