It's time for a new Scrapy Land Challenge  The theme is always ANYTHING GOES using any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells.  In addition, we have TWO WINNERS for each challenge.  One will be a random winner and the other is chosen by the Design Team.  Each winner will receive a generous $10 gift certificate to Scrapy Land.

To start my card I created the background using distress inks and water.  Once dry a little stamping was done using Sparkle N Sprinkle's Journal Mixed Media stamp set.

The circle was die cut using Spellbinder's Circle dies and the sparkly butterfly was die cut using Die-Versions Pretty Wings die .  I used the Kiss Cut Glitter technique and Sparkle N Sprinkle glitter for the butterfly.  This technique is a really fun way to use your dies.

Scrapy Land Challenge #89

Good morning everyone it's the first Wednesday of the month and time for a new Scrapy Land Challenge  The theme is always ANYTHING GOES using any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells.  In addition, we have TWO WINNERS for each challenge.  One will be a random winner and the other is chosen by the Design Team.  Each winner will receive a generous $10 gift certificate to Scrapy Land.

I used this very pretty die from Creative Expressions by Sue Wilson along with a frame die from Spellbinders and butterfly die from Crafter's Companion to create my Mother's Day Card.  You can find similar frame dies here and a butterfly similar dies here.
The frame dies were die cut twice each, one was inked using Distress Ink and a blending tool.  The second set of frame I cut the rectangle out from each and placed on top using foam tape.  This gave the frame some dimension.  Small drops of Strawberry Coulis Jewel drops were added to the corners.
The butterfly was die cut using DP and placed on the small frame added the same color jewel drops.

Here is a look at the card closed!

The front panel was created using distress ink onto watercolor paper and misting with water to allow the inks to blend together.  This really created a pretty layer.  Once the paper was dry I ran it through a Crafter's Companion 3d embossing folder.  A little sparkle was added with a glue pen and Sparkling Snow glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  Small drops of Sea Breeze Jewel Drops.

This is a closer look at the back panel.  The sentiment was die cut from left over background paper before it was embossed using the sentiment from the Sue Wilson die.

Scrapy Land Challenge #88

Good morning everyone it's time for a new Scrapy Land Challenge  The theme is always ANYTHING GOES using any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells.  In addition, we have TWO WINNERS for each challenge.  One will be a random winner and the other is chosen by the Design Team.  Each winner will receive a generous $10 gift certificate to Scrapy Land.

I used this very pretty die from Creative Expressions by Sue Wilson to create my Mother's Day Easel Card.

To create this card I started by die cutting the background die out of white cardstock and folding to make by easel base.  The layer was then cut again out of sticker paper.  The inside layer was cut out of white cardstock.  Using distress ink and a sponge dauber color was added to the die cut.

The backing was removed to expose the sticky side of the sticker paper and the colored layer was placed on top of the sticker paper.  Sparkling Snow glitter was then sprinkled on top of the sticker paper and burnish well.  This really create a pretty sparkly card base.

Drops of Dandelion Crystal Drops were placed on the flower centers, Rhubarb Crumble Crystal Drops were added to the butterflies.  Small drop of Ebony Crystal Drops were placed on the birds eye.

For the inside panel the die was cut a second time and colored using the distress inks and sponge dauber.  I cut apart the die cut an only used the section with the bird and flowers along with the butterflies.  The flowers were covered with Morning Dew Crystal Drops and small drops of Rosewater Jewel Drops were placed on the panel.  Strip of 1/8" Tear-Ific Tape was placed on the card and Pinkerbell glitter was placed on the sticky side of the tape.

Using the Tonic Studios Window Box Die Set I created a St. Patrick's Day Card.  This a really pretty die for a 3d type projects.  The clover was made using Spellbinder's Heart dies.  I die cut 6 hearts and placed 3 on top of the bottom 3 to give a little more dimension to the clover.  A small pearl and ribbon was added.  The background paper was embossed using the 3d embossing folder from Crafter's Companion.  Small drops of Honey Gold Glitter drops were placed on the embossing.  For the front panels the background layer was die cut using sticker paper.  The top layer was placed on top of the sticker paper and they remaining openings were glittered using Waterfall glitter from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Scrapy Land Challenge #84

It's time for a new Scrapy Land Challenge.  The theme is always Anything Goes using any brand of die that Scrapy Land sells.  I am so excited to have been picked as one of the new design team members for Scrapy Land.

I needed a masculine birthday card and I wanted to try the alcohol ink stained glass technique.  To get started I used the beautiful Stained Glass Collection - Sail Boat die from Sue Wilson Design's.  You can find similar dies Here.  The die was die cut using black cardstock and set aside.  The background was then prepared using acetate, alcohol inks and gold foil.  I love this technique and will definitely be using it again.  You can find a tutorial Here on this technique.

To finished off my card I used the Tropical Stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  The shells were stamped with versamark and heat emboss using Cappuccino embossing also from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Now it's your turn to join us.  You have until March 4th to upload your projects.  Two winners are selected, a random winner and one chosen by the Design Team.

Have a wonderful day and remember.....Keep Stamping!!
