A Good Friend is Like a Four Leaf Clover

Happy Monday to everyone!  As we approach March I would like to share a St. Patrick's Day card with you using the new digi Luck of the Irish Enchantress stamp set from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  This is such a cute stamp set!!  Let's get started on how this all came together.

To create the pretty background I used a Prima stencil and Nuvo's Emerald Green Glimmer Paste.

Using a palette knife I covered the cardstock with the glimmer paste.  Removed the stencil and let dry.

Here is the finished background paper.  The glimmer pastes are so pretty and there are so many ways to use them.  I hope you will check out all the colors over at the SNS store.

Next I printed the color images and cut them out using my Silhouette.  Sparkle was and added  using the Nuvo Small Glue Pen, Spirited Green, Evening Glow, and Sparkling Snow. I used Spellbinder's Fancy Ovals and die cut the larger die for a frame for my image to rest on.  A smaller oval was die cut from sticker paper and glittered using Lady Luck.  The two ovals were then layered together and the image placed on top using foam tape.  Small drops of Dandelion Crystal Drops were placed on the small shamrocks. For the large ones Pale Gold Crystal Drops were added to the centers.

The sentiment was also printed and adhered to the card using foam tape.

I would like to thank you for stopping by hope you have enjoyed my card as much as I did making it!!

Showers of Love

Good morning everyone and Happy Monday!!!  May your week be blessed with much happiness!  Today I would like to share a card with you using the new Emily Showers of Love (digi) stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  Let's get started on how I made this sweet card!

All of the images were resized, printed and cut out using my Silhouette.  I did used the color version of the stamp set.  Adding sparkle with glitter and a glue pen. Strips of 1/8" Tear-ific Tape was placed along the edges of the card layers and glittered using Pixie Violet glitter.

To create my shower background I used a stencil from Simon Says and Tanzanite Lavender Glimmer Paste. Place the stencil on top of your card base and cover with the glimmer paste.  Remove the stencil and let completely dry.  The glimmer paste gives your background such a pretty sparkly look.  Be sure to check out all the beautiful glimmer paste over at the Sparkle N Sprinkle store!

Using the Nuvo Small Glue Pen along with Waterfall, BubblegumHyacinth, Evening Glow and Pixie Violet glitter to give this sweet girl some sparkle.

The sentiment was printed along with the hearts .  Pixie Violet glitter was added to the words using the glue pen.  Sparkling Snow  glitter was placed on top of the hearts using a glue pen and then covering with Glossy Accents.  Small drops of Pale Periwinkle Jewel Drops were added.  Waterfall glitter was added to the edges using the small glue pen.

Caged Bird

Good morning everyone, hope you are having a wonderful day!  I would like to share a project with you using SNS products and Want 2 Scrap chipboard.

Caged Bird

To start my card I created my background using embossing pasteUltramarine Blue Color Burst, a  Prima stencil and Sparkling Snow glitter.

prep

I placed a small amount of embossing paste onto my craft mat and tapped a small amount of powder into the paste and mixed well.  The stencil was placed on top of a piece of watercolor paper and the embossing paste was applied on top.  The stencil was removed and I had a beautiful background layer.

Caged Bird

While the paste was still wet I lightly dusted the entire piece with Sparkling Snow glitter for a pretty sparkle.
The bird cage was die cut using Tim Holtz's Caged Bird die and embossed using Vintage EP.  This step was repeated twice.

Caged Bird

The small bird was covered with versamark and embossed with Skylight EP.  I decided that I need a bit more color on the bird so I re inked the tail with versamark and embossed with Flashy Flamingo EP, which gave it a pretty sparkle.

Caged Bird

I re inked the bottom of the bird's belly and embossed using Daffodil EP.

Caged Bird

To add the spots I placed a few piece of the Super Thick White EP and heated from underneath.

Caged Bird

The small Hydrangea was die cut using Spellbinder's die.  The flowers were inked on the edges and a small dot of Green Apple Crystal Drops were placed in the middle.  Two larger dots were placed on the bird cage using Green Apple and Bubblegum Blush Crystal Drops.

Caged Bird

Small leaves were added to the top of the cage using Sizzix Branches and Leaves die.

Giving Thanks

Good morning, I have been playing along with Splitcoaststampers Hope You Can Cling Challenge which started Oct. 1st.  This is a wonderful challenge, if you would like to help those that are dealing with cancer this is the challenge for you!

The challenge for Wednesday was to have a mosaic look on your card.  I created that look using a brick stencil, 3d gloss gel and Red Rock chunky embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle (tutorial on using the chunky embossing powder).

As you can see this really created a pretty look.  This embossing powder will be available soon at Sparkle N Sprinkle.

The scarecrow image is from Harvest Scarecrow from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

The image was stamped and colored using copic markers.  A little sparkle was added using a glue pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.

California Dreamin'

Good afternoon everyone, hope you had a wonderful weekend!!  Today I'm sharing a card that I did for Sparkle N Sprinkle's Sept Reveal, all about the beach!!

My card base is a simple stepper card

Simple Stepper Card Tutorial
This easy technique can be applied to make a card any width. The complete card shown above was made from a 5" wide card base.  You can find details Here on how to create this design.

I started my card by stamping images from 3 different stamp set Surf's Up, Tropical and Surfin Woody stamp set.  The images were colored with copic markers and fussy cut out.  The waves were cut using my Sihouette on white cardstock.  I applied Ultramarine Blue Color Burst and misted with water to create the blue on the top wave.  Using a glue pen to the edges of both waves I added sparkle using Sparkling Snow glitter.

Once the fence was colored and cut out, Florida Beach and Spirited Green was applied using a glue pen.  2 strips of Tear-ific Tape were used on the front panel, 1/2" piece was placed at the top and glittered using Waterfall glitter.  A 3/4" piece was placed next and glittered using Celestial glitter, the fence was then placed on top using pop dots.

The sun rays were created using Tim Holtz's Sun Rays stencil with embossing paste.  I took a small amount of Metallic Melon gelato and mixed it with the embossing paste, them covered the stencil with it.  While the paste was still wet I lightly dusted with Sparkling Snow.  When the paste was completely dry I sponged the bottom area using the same Melon gelato.  A small piece of cardstock was torn, inked with versamark and embossed using Hit the Beach EP.  The piece was then inked again with versamark and a small amount of Magic Speckle EP was applied and heat set.  The edges were then inked with brown ink.

The background paper that the surf boards were stamped on was made using Pthalo Green, Lemon Yellow, Violet, Ultramarine Blue Color Burst.  I applied a small amount of each color onto watercolor paper and misted with water.  The colors really turned out so pretty.  The boards were stamped and fussy cut once the paper had dried.

The sentiment was stamped with versamark and embossed using Sapphire EP.

Give A Girl The Right Shoes

Good morning everyone, hope you are having a good start to your day!!  I would like to share my layout using the newly released Ballet stamp set.  In this layout the sentiment is the only stamp used, and it fits this layout perfectly. These sweet little feet are my precious granddaughter's!

The cardstock was prepped using gesso.  Once the gesso was dry I placed a stencil on top of the  layout and applied  Dreamweaver Embossing paste.  Once the stencil was removed a light dusting of Sparkling Snow was applied for a bit of sparkle.  I repeated the stenciling using a different stencil with Memento Sweet Plum ink.  Dimensional Glue was applied to the inked stencil randomly and micro beads were added. Color was added to the background with small pieces of gelatos mixed with water and lightly misted around the page.

Chipboard Dolly was inked using versamark and embossed  using Velvet Sparkle EP.  Strips of cardstock were embossed, stenciled and layered behind the photo.  A small journaling tag was cut and embossed.  The star frame was cut using my Silhouette.  It was inked with versamark and embossed with Tinsel EP.  Sparkle was added to the shoes using a glue pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.

The Ornamental Tag One from Spellbinders was die cut and the sentiment stamped using versamark and embossed with Black Detail EP.  I took a glue pen to the swirls and flower and glittered them with Orchid glitter.  Liquid Pearl White Opal was added to the center of the flower.

The orchids were die cut using Spellbinder Die D-Lites Orchid.  Color was added to the centers using copic markers.  Lavender Iris glitter was added to the edges with a brush and Brushable Glue.

(Tip: if you have a problem with a particular link, try clicking on the person's blog title to send you to their Home page.)

If you love coffee and good friends, then these new stamps are just a perfect match!!  Really fun stamps this month and I had fun playing around with the Best Friends Forever set.

For this layout I used just the sentiment part of the stamp for my title.  These cousins really are the best of friends.  I created a lot of texture on this layout by using embossing paste and stencils.  The stamping you see on the page is the journal stamp from the Journal Mixed Media set and the Crackle Background stamp.  Gesso was lightly applied to the page around the edges.
The heart was die cut using Spellbinders Circle Dies.

The paper roses were brushed lightly with brushable glue and glittered using Sparkling Snow glitter.  For the sparkly butterflies, they were die cut using SU butterfly die and glittered using Daisy glitter.

Here is a closer look at the background textures.

Now to see a completely different look using the same stamp set here is a sneak peek at a card I created along with the Born To Shop stamp set.

Check back to see the full reveal of this card.  You will see how this stamp set can be used on so many different projects.
