So Grateful

Good morning all,  hope your day is going great  Today I would like to share a project with you using the new Basket of Hope stamp set and a pretty background technique.  Let's get started on all the details.

To create the background for this project I used watercolor paper and distress inks.  The paper was covered with the distress inks using a blending tool.  Next I took a piece of paper towel and misted it with water.  The wet towel was placed on top of the paper and let sit on top for 30 minutes.

The paper towel was removed and the background was revealed.  I love how the design on the paper towel was transferred to the background paper.  The inks blending together so pretty!

The sentiment was then stamped onto the background paper using Dust Rust Chalk Ink.  A little sparkle was added using the Nuvo Small Glue Pen and Bronze Splendor glitter.

The image was then stamped on to watercolor paper using the Tim Holtz's Platform and
StazOn ink.  The image was colored on the platform using Nuvo Aqua Markers.  Once the  colors were dry, I re stamped the image using versamark and heated embossing with Coffee EP.  That is the fun of using the platform you can re stamp as many times as you like.  The embossing over the watercolors looked so pretty!  The image was then fussy cut out.

Using a piece of fall ribbon I placed a strip of 1/4" Tear-ific Tape in the middle and removed the backing.  Sparkle was added to the ribbon using Creamsicle and Bronze Splendor glitter.  Small drops of Bottle Green Crystal Drops were added.

Happy Thanksgiving

Good morning all, hope you are all ready for Thanksgiving.  I know I have so much to be thankful for and thank God each day for all his blessings.

Today I would like to share my Thanksgiving cards with you.

These were all created using Elizabeth Craft Pull Tag dies.  I made 13 of these to send out to the children in my Sunday School class.  They are so much fun to make and the little charms are so cute.

Next this card was created using the Stampin Up Woodland embossing folder.  The leaves were created with left over paper that was die cut using Anna Griffin's dies.

Also using Anna Griffin's dies.

This card was made using the Stampin Up Woodland embossing folder along with ink and embossing powders.

Hope you are having fun on the blog hop!!  The stamp sets this month are amazing, and I had a blast playing with them all!!!  I used the digi Turkey Dish for my step card.

To start the back panel

I used a piece of sticker paper, Dreamweaver stencil and coconut soap.  Place the stencil on top of the sticker paper after rubbing the back with the soap.  The soap will help the stencil to come off easier.  Starting with the lightest glitter Sunny Daze, then Sunset glitter was added.  With each glitter I burnish well with my finger then the stencil was turned upside down to remove the excess glitter before the next glitter.  I brushed well with the glitter brush to remove any excess glitter.  Being very careful the stencil was removed and the remaining sticky areas were covered with Bronze Splendor and burnish well with the finger tool.  The excess glitter was brushed off.  Here is a tutorial on this technique.

The background is just beautiful and so sparkly!!

The images were printed off, I used the color option.  Sparkle was added to her using a Nuvo Glue Pen, Sunset, Spirited Green, Dazzling Rose, Sassy Silver, Golden Silver and Sunny Daze glitter.  Ebony Black Crystal Drops were placed on top of the black dots.  I covered her glasses with dimensional glue, which dries clear and gave the look of glass.  She was then fussy cut out. For the background panel I used a Sizzix leaf embossing folder.  Nuvo Mother of Pearl Mousse was applied to the raised areas using my finger.  This really gave a pretty look to the leaves.

The sentiments were printed and punched using Fisker's Oval and Scalloped punches.  The edges were inked with Spiced Marmalade ink, small dots of Dandelion Yellow Crystal Drops were added to the edges.  Small leaves were punched and applied to the ovals.  A strip of 1/2" Tear-ific Tape was placed on top of the bottom panel the protective backing was removed and a strip of 1/4" Tear-ific Tape was placed on top.  The 1/2" strip was covered with Sunset glitter burnish well and brushed off. The backing of the 1/4" strip was removed and covered with Bronze Splendor glitter repeating the steps.

To finished off the top of the card vellum leaves were punched and inked with Spiced Marmalade ink.  They were placed on the top of the card along with an acorn and a Pull Ribbon bow.

I will leave you with a sneak peek of project to come!!!  I hope you will stop back by to see all the details.

We hope you enjoy the New Reveal Blog Hop as much as we do.  Thanks for joining us and remember to comment on each of the Designers' blogs to be eligible for the Grand Prize.

Give Thanks

Good morning all, hope you all are having a good Wednesday!  This morning I would like to share a card with you using the Fruit Note (digi) stamp.  This is a beautiful image, just perfect for your Thanksgiving cards!!

Fruit Note

The image was printed off using the colored digi.  I did resize the image slightly.  Using the new Nuvo Glue Pen, along with Fairy Tale Lavender, Sunny Daze and Sunset the sparkly was added.  The background was created using a leaf embossing folder from Sizzix.  The cardstock  was then layered together slightly offset.  Using Nuvo's Glue Pen and Sunset glitter around the edges of the card base.

Fruit Note

The sentiment was printed and die cut using Sizzix's Funky Label dies.  The edges were inked and placed on the card using foam dots.

Fruit Note

Leaves were cut using svg files and my Silhouette.  They were inked with Bamboo Leaves and Spiced Marmalade.  Small leaves were punched using a Fisker punch.  To finish off I added bows behind the leaves and to the bottom.  This is a really simple card using the colored digi images, but with a little glitter and sparkle it turned out so beautiful!!!

Giving Thanks

Good morning, I have been playing along with Splitcoaststampers Hope You Can Cling Challenge which started Oct. 1st.  This is a wonderful challenge, if you would like to help those that are dealing with cancer this is the challenge for you!

The challenge for Wednesday was to have a mosaic look on your card.  I created that look using a brick stencil, 3d gloss gel and Red Rock chunky embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle (tutorial on using the chunky embossing powder).

As you can see this really created a pretty look.  This embossing powder will be available soon at Sparkle N Sprinkle.

The scarecrow image is from Harvest Scarecrow from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

The image was stamped and colored using copic markers.  A little sparkle was added using a glue pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.
