Haunted House

Hope everyone is having a great week!  I have been busy spending time with my grandbabies 22 month old twins Andy and Alyssa.  Enjoyed some one on one time with Andy on Tuesday, and had some one on one with Alyssa today.  They are so cute and so much fun, but boy they sure keep you busy!  I did find some time to work on a Halloween card today and it is just so cute.  I have really been having fun with the side step card you can find the template on SCS they are just so cute!! I cut out 2 haunted houses from the Debbie Mum paper I bought a couple of years ago, used the Stampin Up owl punch to create the ghost, the Martha Stewart fence punch and the bats and Trick or Treat banner is from the new Recollections Halloween stamps I just bought from Michael's.  Enjoy the rest of your week and have a Safe and Fun Labor Day Weekend!

Timeless Tuesday #184

Good morning all, the Timeless Tuesday challenge at Flourishes is hosted by Denise this week and it's all about purple and blue!  Those are two of my favorite colors.  I have been working on Halloween cards and just happen to have one in purple and blue.  I used the Reflection Halloween stamps for the witch.  Using a white piece of card stock I masked a circle for the moon and inked around it with shades of blue and purple.  The mask was removed and inked using yellow to create the moon.  The window was made with 2 Grand Madison window die cuts put together.  I used the Martha Stewart fence punch and embellished with a spider, leaves and a pumpkin.  My little grandson thought this was a cute card.  I do think it turned out really cute.  Hope everyone is having a good week, praying for those in the New Orleans area with Issac approaching.  My husband and I lived in New Orleans for a short time, it is close to our hearts!  Have a great week everyone and Keep Stamping!

Back To School!

Can't believe the summer is almost over!!  As my 2 grandsons are preparing to head back to school I thought I would make them alittle something.  I found this pencil card template on Pinterest, it was such a cute idea.  I wanted to make them  a goodie bag, so I search SCS for an idea.  I came across backpack goodie boxes they were so cute.  The template and instruction are found in the tutorials section.  I used the DCWV Grade School paper pack to make the backpack.  These turned out so cute, and the boys really loved them.  Filled the backpack with candy, pens etc..  I will have a 5th grader and a 3rd grader this year.  Can't believe how fast they are growing up!!

Timeless Tuesday Challenge #183

Good morning everyone, hope everyone is having a great week so far!  Maki at Flourishes is hosting this week's challenge Butterflies, Bees, Spider, oh my!!  I used my favorite stamp set Butterflies and Blossoms to make this pretty birthday card.  Lots of beautiful butterflies.  I just love the triple stamp technique.  You can find the instruction at SCS.  I used Prisma watercolors to color all of the flowers, leaves and butterflies.  To add just alittle sparkle I used Stampin Up's Diamond Dazzle on the butterflies.  This was a fun challenge as I just love beautiful butterflies.  Enjoy the rest of the week, and keep Stamping!

A Banner Celebration Challenge

The last challenge at 8:00 pm over at Flourishes was to use a banner.  Last week I was working on Halloween cards for my grandsons and happened to make one using a banner.  It was the perfect pick for this challenge.  I had so much fun working on these for the boys.  Didn't use a lot of stamping on this card.  I made the pumpkins using oval punches, inked the edges.  The witch's hat came from a stamp I picked up at JoAnn's in the dollar bend.  The fence is the Martha Stewart fence punch.  I made the candy corn banner out of yellow, orange and white cardstock.  Hope you all are having fun with the 2, 4, 6 and 8 challenges they have really been fun!  I just love all the challenges at Flourishes!!  Have a goodnight everyone.

Add Some Sprinkles To The Top Challenge

The 6:00 pm challenge at Flourishes Birthday Celebration was to add sprinkles to the top!!  I have been busy working on Christmas cards and love the look of this card plenty of sprinkles.  I used the Seasonal Wreath stamps, the Grand Madison Window diecut, the Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder and lots of glitter and ribbon. This card turned out so pretty.

Time For A Colorful Celebration Challenge

The 1st Challenge of the day at Flourishes was to create a card using the Celebrate Color Challenge hues.  I chose to use this card.  It is using the Butterflies and Blossoms Stamps. Hope everyone is having a great day!

Country Roads Noon Time Challenge

Today's noon challenge over at Flourishes was all about the country roads.  I choose to use a picture from our 30th anninversary to Lake Tahoe!  It is such a beautiful place.  The snow reminds me of Christmas and since I have been working on this year's Christmas cards I choose to do a Christmas card.  I used the Vintage Postcard set from Flourishes.  I color with copic markers and used chalk to do the shading for the sunrise and sky.  I had seen a card last year using this stamp set, not sure where I saw it, so not sure who to give credit to sorry.  Happy Thursday, hope everyone is having a great day.  Keep stamping!

A Bit of Texture Challenge

The noon time challenge at Flourishes is to use texture.  I choose this card because it is full of texture.  The stamp is Be Stylish from the Rubber Cafe.  I used black flocking embossing powder, ribbons, glitter, and Fisker's scallop punch.  The stamp was colored with Copic markers RV02, RV04, RV06.  I used double sided tape and glitter to create the pink ribbon. The new stamp sets being release over at Flourishes are so pretty.  Can't wait to start ordering.  Be sure to check them out at Flourishes.  Happy stamping!!

Timeless Tuesday #181 - It's a Sketchy Challenge

Hope everyone is having a great week so far.  This week's Timeless Tuesday It's Sketchy Challenge  is to use a sketch to create a card.  I have never used a sketch before so this was a challenge for me, and I really had fun with it.  Here is the sketch that was to be used, and here is the card I came up with!
I used the Howdy Doody paper stack that came with the June 1 2 3 Kit from Flourishes, as well as the embellishment and ribbon.  This was a pretty set, and this is the first time I have used it.  The stamps are from the Butterflies and Blossoms set from Flourishes.  I use copic markers YR02, YR04, YR07, RV02 for the flowers and the top butterfly.  The leaves were colored with G14, G09.  The larger butterfly I used B00, V15, V17 and G14.  This was a fun challenge and I will be looking forward to using more sketches.  Happy stamping all, and thanks for dropping by!!

Poinsettia Christmas Card

I love using the Flourishes stamp sets!  I picked this one up and have just loved using it.  I stamped this one with versamark and then in embossed with gold embossing powder, such a pretty look!  The leaves were stamped and colored with copic markers.  I used the lace and glitter technique to create the background paper.  I saw this last summer in San Diego at the Scrapbook Expo.  It was be shown by the Sparkle and Sprinkle booth.  It is a bit messing but the end results are worth it.  I used red and gold glitter.  All you need is a piece of lace the size of your card front, sticker paper, glitter and a brayer.  You will place the lace on top of the sticky side of the sticker paper and use the darker color glitter first cover the entire sticker paper.  Place a piece of paper on top of the glitter and brayer all over, remove the lace and use the lighter color glitter and repeat the steps.  It really creates a beautiful background.

Timeless Tuesday #180

The challenge today was to case a design team's card, I chose the one here from Christine Okken.  It is such a pretty card.
I decided to use glitter for my background, this was done using lace, glitter and a brayer.  I just love this techinque.  Using sticker paper you put the lace on top of the sticky side and sprinkle with the glitter, place a piece of paper on top of the glitter and brayer on top.  Remove the lace and use the 2nd color of glitter in the same manner.  It makes such a pretty back ground.  I stamped and color my window with copic markers.  I used Fisker's punch to finish my card.  Love the look!
