Well I hope you are enjoying the blog hop, don't you just love all the beautiful stamp sets and those beautiful digi papers!!!  I decided on  Kaitlyn Mermaid  (digi version DIGI847LS) for my project.  I thought how cute she would look inside a shell so I went to work looking through my svg files and came across this cute shell card.  It work perfectly to create my pop up card for this cute little mermaid!!  Let me show you how it all came together.

This is a look at the card closed!

First the card was cut using white cardstock and the layering pieces was cut using the digi paper bundle set.  I just love these beautiful papers.  For the front of the card leaves were die cut from a Sizzix leaf die.  The shell layer was glittered along the edges using the Medium Nuvo Glue Pen and Waterfall glitter.  The sentiment was printed, the edges were inked using Peacock Feathers Distress Ink.  The edges were also glittered using the same glue pen and glitter.  Small drops of Sea Breeze Jewel Drops.

The sweet little image was  resized, printed using the color stamp and cut out using the Silhouette.  Next it was time to make her sparkle!!!  I used the Small Nuvo Glue Pen along with Waterfall, Sunny Daze, Sparkling Snow and Fuschia Glass Glitter.  For the edges of the shell layer Waterfall glitter was also used.  Small drops of Orange Marmalade Jewel Drops were also used.

The sentiment for the inside of the card was printed out and die cut using the Fancy Label die from Sizzix,  The back layer of the label was cut using sticker paper, the second layer was placed on top of the sticker paper and glittered using Sparkling Snow glitter.  The edges of the oval was inked and glittered using medium glue pen and Waterfall glitter.  Small pearls and left over leaves were added.

I just love this sweet little mermaid and my grand daughter loved her too!!  I hope you have enjoyed my project I really had fun putting it together.

Here is a little peek of project to come using both rubber and digi stamps.  I hope you will come on back to see the full project!!

Please be sure to stop over at the Sparkle N Sprinkle store to see all of the beautiful products!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by have fun and enjoy all of the beautiful project by the best design team (they are all so amazing)!

Next stop on your hop is the very talented ANNE!!!

  1. Hi, B! I knew that shell card was yours - she is just done in BELINDA style! Gorgeous colors, and I'm delighted your granddaughter likes her as well. Your shell template is wonderful - did you design it, or find it on line? It's a great idea. I can just visualize a "pearl of a mermaid" popped up on the inside of the card as well. What a fabulous design - and all your colors are luscious! hugs, de
