Sweet Layout

Good morning all, hope your week is off to a great start!!!  We have been busy with Vacation Bible School this week and having so much fun!  It warms your heart to see so many smiling faces learning about our God!

I would like to share a sweet layout with you today starring my grandson!!

I just love how this turned out!!  The edges were distressed with scissor and inked with green pigment ink.  I applied the ink with a sponge and distressed the background as well.  The page was punched with a border punch in several places.

Using a brick stencil and embossing paste I created a brick wall.  To create the texture on the bricks, I used my finger and lightly dabbed each one.  Next the bricks were lightly inked using green ink and a sponge.  I cut around the bricks and inked the edges with brown ink.

Using an piece of cardboard from an old box, I inked it with green ink tore and rolled the edges.  I then took a brush and lightly brushed gesso on the cardboard in random spots. The brick wall was adhere to the cardboard.

Using the Leafy Flourish stamp set, I stamped the image with black ink and inked it lightly with green ink.  For the pretty sparkle I used a glue pen and Sparkling Snow glitter.  The flourish was fussy cut and adhere to the background paper.

The flourish was repeated to used on the bottom right corner. I stamped the  Crystal Medallion stamp with black ink and inked using a sponge and green ink.  The center was glittered using a glue pen and Sparkling Snow.  The image was fussy cut, a brad adhere to the center.  The flourish and medallion were adhere to the background page.

The honeycomb were die cut using Tim Holtz's dies.  Once they were die cut I inked them with versamark and embossed using Cooper Flame EP.

Once the embossing powder was cool they were cut in half and placed on the page.  I used several of the cut outs, inked them with Tangelo Ink and embossed them with Houndstooth embossing folder.

Using the Tutorial for Coloring on Glitter, the butterfly was created.  The butterfly image is from the Simply Beautiful stamp set.

The sentiments were stamped using Desert Sand ink.  The sentiments are from the Camera Life and the Crystal Medallion stamp sets.
